Adelaide electro rockers, The Killgirls, hit New South Wales for the first time since the release of their new EP, ANIMAL, for two shows in February. Favourites on their local circuit, The Killgirls promise that the shows on February 17 at the Fitzroy Hotel, Windsor and February 18 Upstairs at The Beresford, are just the start of their east coast infiltration.

The Killgirls make music with teeth, for party people. They have played up to the ecstatic mayhem of the 2010 Fringe Opening Party in front of 40,000 people, scored a Boiler Room spot at the Big Day Out in 2011, took the stage at the 2011 Parklife in Adelaide, and supported Dead Letter Circus on the NO FRACKING WAY Tour. They have shared stages with Crystal Castles, MSTRKRFT, Die Antwoord, Bloody Beetroots, and Art VS Science; and have crafted their live show into a fine art of raw and inescapable energy.
At the end of 2011, The Killgirls released the sophomore EP, ANIMAL. Produced, mixed and mastered entirely by lead vocalist Mario Spate, and recorded by the band - Nick O’Connor on bass, Hamish Cox playing synths, Tony Irish on drums, Rusty Hutchinson on guitar - the EP is the sound of The Killgirls unleashed. The first two singles from the EP, ‘Astronaut’ and ‘Animal’, make the aim of the band clear – to get the party started – immediately.
The Killgirls have become renowned for their energetic live shows. They slam aggression into excitement in an effort to inspire and invigorate; to get audiences pumped up and crazy. Clarity and anarchy with a charismatic male vocal, distorted bass, jagged guitar, a catchy synth and solid dance beats to urge you on.
