Fuse Festival 2012 will once again be closing with the main showcase on Friday 24^th Feburary. This year’s event is proudly being sponsored by APRA and will be coinciding with the opening of The Adelaide Fringe Festival. APRA Presents: Fuse@Fringe plays host to a hand picked line up of export ready Australian acts, this year including Mission In Motion, Glass Towers, Sincerely Grizzly, Es Ist Super, The Shaolin Afronauts, Marcus Corowa & Goldbloom.

Adding to the already impressive line up the Triple J Unearthed team announced this years Unearthed Fuse Winners – Victorian two piece fuzz garage band Them Swoops. Hailing from Melbourne they will get a chance to showcase their blissfully dreamy pop songs. Them Swoops started out in 2011 as a three piece but drummer Adam had long standing arrangements to leave the country indefinitely, so they are now functioning as a two piece, enlisting some amazing friends to help flesh out the live shows. Working with local producers recording and mixing in underground backyard and warehouse studios, Them Swoops new EP is due for release mid 2012.

We’ve managed to squeeze into our suitcases the finest acts from across the globe and local legends too, a non-stop list of the world’s top skaters, performers and artists are all along for the ride. We are excited and honoured to be bringing them to you this Sunday, 5 February at The Victoria Park Foreshore.

It’s been fifteen years since SOUNDGARDEN last graced our shores. Chris Cornell, Kim Thayil, Matt Cameron and Ben Shepherd – the Seattle foursome – close the Big Day Out Stage with a vengeance. Rusty Cage, Outshined, Spoonman, Black Hole Sun – you’ll hear them all and you’ll love every minute of it!

Jam’n’Beats is back! The all ages, all cultures local festival is being held on Saturday 11^th February at the Greenslopes Bowls Club from 5.00 - 11.30pm. The event will include local bands, DJs, dancers, art markets, bongo jams and more. With a massive music hall, relaxed bar area, and an artistic marketplace, the festival appears attractive to any aged creative.

Soundwave Festival is thrilled to announce the launch of ‘SOUNDWAVE PIRATE RADIO’. An online radio station streaming 24/7 packed with exclusive interviews, daily news updates and fist pumping tracks from all your favourite Soundwave artists.

Exclusive to Soundwave Pirate radio will be ‘HAUGMETAL’ a weekly 2-hour metal show hosted by none other than Andrew Haug, every Thursday night from 8pm – 10pm.

THE MISSION IN MOTION ADDED TO SW12

As we close in on Australia Day what better way to celebrate than adding another Australian artist for Soundwave 2012…welcome to THE MISSION IN MOTION who will be playing all shows (ex Melbourne).

There is a strictly limited ticket release in Brisbane, Sydney and Melbourne on Tuesday 24 January at 6pm local time. Tickets will be available through www.oztix.com.au. 

Gold Coast, Australia, 20th January 2012 ~ The Gold Coast's inaugural surf arts and culture celebration, Bleach* Surfing the Fringe, today announced a lineup change to the music component of the festival which will run from 11-26 Feb 2012.

Due to a serious family emergency, experimental US duo Inner Tube have canceled their run of Australian dates. Inner Tube were scheduled to appear with The Break at The Sound Lounge as part of the Bleach* Surfing the Fringe festival on the 24^th of February. Patrons seeking ticket refunds will be able to do so by calling the venue. 

For the second year running the main showcase event for the FUSE Festival will coincide with the opening night celebrations of the Adelaide Fringe Festival at Rymill Park on Friday, February 24^th. This year presented by APRA, the FUSE @ Fringe stage in Rymill Park will come alive with the diverse sounds of a select line-up of musical acts, featuring a handful of ‘export-ready’ bands from across the country.

As the sun sets, the Adelaide Fringe parade with a cast of thousands, led by our alternative King and Queen of the Fringe head down the streets of the east end and into the gorgeous surrounds of Rymill Park to a magically lit wonderland of entertainment. As part of opening night celebrations for Fringe festival, The FUSE @ Fringe show in Rymill Park will be an easy $5 at the gate for 5 hours of music.
